P0232

Symptoms

• The fuel pump does not turn off after stopping the engine
• Battery discharge after parking
• Check Engine Light Illuminates
• Fuel smell (in case of leakage)
• Unstable fuel pressure

Causes

• Fuel pump relay stuck in the on position
• Feedback wire short circuit to power
• ECU malfunction
• Damage to the pump wiring harness
• Faulty fuel pump control module (FPDM)

How to Fix

1. Read codes and check the operation of the fuel pump relay
2. Replace the fuel pump relay with a known working one.
3. Check wiring harness for short circuit to positive
4. Check the ECU signal wire to the relay
5. Check fuel pump control module (if equipped)
6. Repair any damage to the harness or replace the ECU.
