Symptoms

  • The Check Engine light comes on
  • Unstable operation on alternative fuel after ECU reset
  • Increased fuel consumption until adaptation is completed
  • Unstable idle when warming up
  • The code appears after the battery is disconnected

Causes

  • Power surge or unstable power supply to the ECU
  • Battery disconnects at the wrong time
  • Physical malfunction of the non-volatile memory chip
  • Storing a car for a long time with a completely discharged battery
  • Incorrect actions when programming the computer

How to Fix

  1. Reset the error code and check for recurrence
  2. Charge or replace the battery to ensure stable power supply
  3. Perform the procedure for adapting the engine to alternative fuel according to the instructions
  4. Perform several warm-up cycles to restore adaptations
  5. If it appears again - diagnostics of non-volatile memory of the ECU
  6. If a physical malfunction is confirmed, replace the ECU or module
