Symptoms

• The Check Engine light comes on
• Unstable operation on gas or failure to switch to gas
• Increased gas consumption
• Engine speed is unstable when running on gas
• Errors in the HBO control unit

Causes

• Physical damage to RAM or ROM chips in the LPG module
• Incorrect reprogramming of the gas control module
• Power surge that damaged module memory
• Moisture getting into the connector or module housing
• Vibration damage to memory chip soldering

How to Fix

1. Read error codes from the LPG control module using a specialized scanner
2. Check power and grounding of the alternative fuel control module
3. Try reprogramming the module with the original firmware
4. Inspect the connector and module housing for moisture and damage.
5. If reprogramming fails, replace the LPG control module
6. After replacement - complete adaptation of the system to the engine
