Symptoms

• The Check Engine light comes on
• Emergency mode - limited speed and traction
• Weak or absent response to the accelerator pedal
• Throttle stuck in one position
• Vibration and unstable engine operation

Causes

• Internal malfunction of the ETC controller in the ECU
• Throttle motor malfunction
• Dirty or stuck throttle valve
• Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) malfunction
• Unstable power supply to the ETC system

How to Fix

1. Check for codes P0120–P0124 (TPS sensor) and P2100–P2135 (throttle actuator)
2. Clean the throttle valve from carbon deposits
3. Check the throttle valve motor - winding resistance
4. Perform throttle valve adaptation via diagnostic scanner
5. Check power and grounding of the ETC system
6. If the external components are in good working order - diagnostics/replacement of the ECU
