Symptoms

• The Check Engine light comes on
• Misfire in bank 2 cylinders
• Engine vibration at idle
• Reduced power and throttle response
• Possible smell of unburned fuel from the exhaust

Causes

• Internal malfunction of bank 2 injector drivers in the ECU
• Short circuit in bank 2 injector circuits
• Damage to the common power supply wire for bank 2 injectors
• Malfunction of several injectors of bank 2
• Unstable power supply to the ECU

How to Fix

1. Read fault codes - check for P0204–P0206 for bank 2 cylinders
2. Check the resistance of bank 2 injectors
3. Check power supply and grounding of bank 2 injectors
4. Check the wiring of bank 2 injectors with an oscilloscope
5. Diagnostics of bank 2 injectors on a bench
6. If the injectors are working, diagnostics/replacement of the ECU
