Actuator Supply Voltage A Circuit Low

Severity
🔴 High
Can you drive?
Yes, but get it checked soon
Approx. repair cost
$6–78 (est.)

Symptoms

  • Check Engine light comes on
  • Unstable operation of actuators (solenoids, valves)
  • Short-term malfunctions in engine systems
  • Other actuator fault codes
  • Dips or jerks when driving due to unstable operation of the solenoids

Causes

  • Voltage drop in the on-board network (weak battery or generator)
  • Oxidation of relay contacts or power connectors of circuit A
  • High resistance of power wire (partial break)
  • Overload of the power circuit by several consumers
  • Malfunction of the actuator power relay

How to Fix

  1. Check battery voltage and alternator charging
  2. Check the fuse and relay of the actuator power supply circuit A
  3. Measure the supply voltage of circuit A with the engine running and no load.
  4. Inspect and clean relay connectors and power connections
  5. Check the condition of the power cord for resistance
  6. If necessary, restore contacts or replace wiring
