Symptoms

• The air conditioner does not cool or is unstable
• Check Engine Light Is On
• The compressor does not change performance when the load changes
• Perceptible jerking when turning on the air conditioner
• Possible shutdown of the air conditioner by the protection system

Causes

• Compressor valve control circuit wire break
• Short circuit of the control wire to the on-board power supply
• Compressor control valve malfunction (winding break)
• Damage to the control circuit connector or terminal
• ECU output stage malfunction

How to Fix

1. Read all error codes, pay attention to the presence of CAN and climate control codes
2. Check the integrity of the compressor control valve wiring (continuity test)
3. Measure the voltage at the valve connector with the engine running.
4. Check compressor valve resistance (open = infinity)
5. Repair wiring damage or replace compressor valve
6. Reset error codes and check the operation of the air conditioner
