Severity
🔴 HighCan you drive?
Do not drive — repair immediately
Approx. repair cost
$17–889 (est.)
Symptoms
- Multiple sensor error codes appearing at the same time
- Engine transition to emergency mode
- Check Engine light on
- Unstable engine operation or inability to start
- Loss of signal from one or more critical sensors
Causes
- Open 5V reference wire in circuit F
- Insulation damage and wire short to ground
- Internal ECU fault
- Corrosion or mechanical damage to the ECU connector
- Sensor malfunction causing an open circuit
How to Fix
- Read all error codes and record additional sensor codes
- Using the electrical diagram, determine the sensors of the reference voltage circuit F
- Measure the voltage at the sensor connectors of circuit F with the ignition on
- Check the integrity of the reference voltage wire from the ECU to each sensor
- Disconnect sensors one by one to identify the source of the malfunction
- If there is no voltage at the ECU output, diagnose the control unit
