Symptoms

Causes

• Shift Solenoid B Malfunction
• Problems with the electrical circuit (open, short circuit)
• Dirty or low transmission fluid
• Transmission control module (TCM) malfunction
• Mechanical damage to the solenoid

How to Fix

1. Check the level and condition of the transmission fluid
2. Diagnose the solenoid electrical circuit
3. Replace shift solenoid B if necessary
4. Clean or replace transmission fluid
5. Check and, if necessary, replace the transmission control module (TCM)
