Symptoms
- Check Engine light on
- Slight engine instability
- Slight reduction in power at high loads
- Possible periodic misfires in cylinder 7
- Deteriorating fuel economy
Causes
- Open circuit or short circuit in the wiring of the pressure sensor of cylinder 7
- Damaged or corroded sensor connector
- Failure of the pressure sensor itself
- Mechanical damage to the wiring harness
- ECU malfunction (extremely rare)
How to Fix
- Find the cylinder 7 pressure sensor connector according to the electrical diagram
- Carefully inspect the connector - the presence of corrosion, deformation of the clamps, cleanliness of the contacts
- Check the wiring from the connector to the ECU for open circuit and short circuit (with a multimeter)
- Measure the sensor supply voltage with the ignition on
- If the circuit is working, replace the pressure sensor of cylinder 7
- Reset codes, start engine and verify resolution
