Symptoms

• Check Engine Light and Possibly Other Lights
• Bright burning of incandescent lamps
• Related codes for other systems (overvoltage)
• Fuses or components may fail
• Rapid consumption of battery electrolyte

Causes

• Faulty generator voltage regulator (main cause)
• Voltage surge when starting from an external battery
• Incorrect charger connection
• Relay malfunction in the blinds power circuit
• Short circuit in the power circuit, creating overvoltage in the area

How to Fix

1. Immediately check the voltage of the on-board network with the engine running (the norm is up to 14.7 V)
2. If the voltage is higher than 15 V, immediately check the generator and voltage regulator
3. Diagnose the generator with an oscilloscope or load tester
4. Check the power supply circuit of the blinds for incorrect connections.
5. If the mains voltage is normal, check the blinds power relay
6. Replace faulty generator/regulator or relay
