Causes

• Mechanical wear or zero point shift of brake pedal position sensor B
• Incorrect installation or incorrect calibration of the sensor after repair
• Unstable reference voltage in the sensor circuit
• Oxidation or poor contact in sensor connector B
• Deformation of the pedal unit, affecting the mechanical interaction with the sensor

How to Fix

1. Read fault codes; check sensor data in real time via scanner
2. Observe the value of sensor B when slowly pressing and releasing the pedal - the signal should change smoothly and proportionally
3. Check the zero position of the sensor with the pedal fully released - it must comply with the specification
4. Inspect the sensor connector and wiring; check the stability of the reference voltage
5. Perform brake pedal sensor calibration if required by manufacturer's procedure.
6. If the characteristic is nonlinear or unstable, replace the brake pedal position sensor B
