- Reduced accuracy of active safety systems
- Incorrect behavior of adaptive cruise control when braking
- Jerky or unstable regenerative braking on a hybrid
- Brake warning on the dashboard
Causes

- Different wear of sensors A and B during long-term use
- Incorrect installation of the sensor after replacement without calibration
- Unstable or different reference voltage for sensors A and B
- Partial malfunction of one of the sensors while maintaining the functionality of the other
How to Fix
- Read codes; check the readings of both sensors (A and B) simultaneously in real time through the scanner
- Compare sensor readings when you smoothly press and release the pedal - determine which of them deviates from the norm
- Check the reference voltage and ground of both sensors - make sure the power supply is the same
- If one sensor is clearly in error, check its connector, wiring and mechanical installation
- Perform the brake pedal sensor calibration procedure according to the manufacturer's documentation
