Symptoms
- AdBlue/SCR system fault warning
- Check Engine Light Is On
- Possible engine power limitation after 1000–2000 km
- Increased NOx emissions
- The pump is not heard when the ignition is turned on
Causes
- Open circuit in the AdBlue pump power supply circuit
- Blown pump fuse
- Faulty pump power relay
- Oxidation of the pump power connector
- Malfunction of the AdBlue pump itself (winding breakage)
How to Fix
- Read codes, check for accompanying SCR codes
- Check the AdBlue pump power supply fuse
- Check the presence of +12V at the pump power connector when the ignition is turned on.
- Check the AdBlue pump relay (replace with a known good one)
- Measure the resistance of the pump winding (standard: 5–30 Ohms depending on the type)
- Replace the AdBlue pump or repair an open circuit in the power supply
