Reductant Pump Supply Voltage Circuit Stuck Off
Severity
⚠️ MediumCan you drive?
Limited driving only, diagnose soon
Approx. repair cost
$17–167 (est.)
Symptoms
- AdBlue/SCR system fault warning
- Check Engine Light Is On
- AdBlue consumption has stopped (the tank does not empty)
- Increased NOx emissions
- Possible power limitation after 1000–2000 km
Causes
- Burnt or stuck pump power relay (open contacts)
- Open circuit in the relay control circuit
- Mechanical jamming of the pump (AdBlue freezing, clogging)
- AdBlue ECU malfunction
- Broken pump supply wire
How to Fix
- Try to turn on the pump manually using the diagnostic scanner (component activation)
- If the pump does not respond, check that there is power at its connector when the switch is commanded.
- Check the pump power relay - measure the resistance of the control winding (normal: 70–120 Ohms)
- Check the presence of a control signal on the relay from the ECU
- Check if AdBlue is frozen in the tank and pipes
- Replace the relay or repair an open circuit
