P05F2

Reductant Pump Supply Voltage Circuit Stuck Off

Severity
⚠️ Medium
Can you drive?
Limited driving only, diagnose soon
Approx. repair cost
$17–167 (est.)

Symptoms

  • AdBlue/SCR system fault warning
  • Check Engine Light Is On
  • AdBlue consumption has stopped (the tank does not empty)
  • Increased NOx emissions
  • Possible power limitation after 1000–2000 km

Causes

  • Burnt or stuck pump power relay (open contacts)
  • Open circuit in the relay control circuit
  • Mechanical jamming of the pump (AdBlue freezing, clogging)
  • AdBlue ECU malfunction
  • Broken pump supply wire

How to Fix

  1. Try to turn on the pump manually using the diagnostic scanner (component activation)
  2. If the pump does not respond, check that there is power at its connector when the switch is commanded.
  3. Check the pump power relay - measure the resistance of the control winding (normal: 70–120 Ohms)
  4. Check the presence of a control signal on the relay from the ECU
  5. Check if AdBlue is frozen in the tank and pipes
  6. Replace the relay or repair an open circuit
