Symptoms
- The oil pressure or check engine light is on
- Unstable oil pressure according to sensor readings
- Hydraulic compensator noise when starting
- Increased oil consumption
- Engine transition to emergency mode
Causes
- Broken oil pressure valve control circuit wire
- Oxidation or damage to the valve connector
- Oil pressure solenoid valve malfunction
- Low engine oil level
- Internal ECU fault
How to Fix
- Check the level and condition of the engine oil
- Visually inspect the wiring and connector of the oil pressure control valve
- Check the power and control signal at the valve connector
- Measure the resistance of the solenoid valve winding (check with the standard in the documentation)
- If necessary, replace the oil pressure control valve
- Check the integrity of the control circuit and the quality of the ECU grounding
