Symptoms

• Check Engine light on
• Incorrect operation of the oil pressure regulation system
• Possible oil pump noise
• Oil pressure lamp on the instrument panel
• Unstable engine operation

Causes

• Valve control wire short circuit to vehicle ground
• Internal short circuit in the solenoid valve winding
• Damage to cable insulation in the wiring harness
• Water entering the valve connector
• Incorrectly installed valve causing wiring deformation

How to Fix

1. Check the level and quality of engine oil
2. Disconnect the oil pressure valve connector and measure the winding resistance with an ohmmeter
3. If there is zero or very low resistance, replace the valve
4. Check the insulation of the control signal wire for short circuit
5. Inspect the connector for moisture and damage to the contacts.
6. Reset the error and check if the code appears again
