Symptoms
- Check Engine light on
- No communication with GPCM2 via diagnostic scanner
- Glow plugs of the second group do not work
- Difficult cold start
- The pre-heating lamp lights up abnormally
Causes
- Short circuit of the GPCM2 control wire to ground
- Damaged insulation in the wiring harness
- GPCM2 internal circuit malfunction (short to ground)
- Moisture in the wiring harness
- Mechanical cable damage
How to Fix
- Measure the voltage at the GPCM2 control pin (should change during data exchange)
- Disconnect GPCM2 and measure the wire resistance to ground (should be more than 100 kOhm)
- If a short circuit is detected, inspect the harness sequentially along the entire route
- Eliminate short circuit (repair insulation or replace conductor)
- If there is a short inside GPCM2, replace the module
- Check the ECU-GPCM2 connection after repair
