Causes

Degradation of internal power switches GPCM2
Software glitch in GPCM2 firmware
Incorrect module calibration or setup
Partial malfunction of current sensors inside GPCM2
Unstable power supply causing control errors

How to Fix

Read extended GPCM2 data - warm-up time, spark plug current, module temperature
Check power and grounding of GPCM2
Check for ECU/GPCM2 firmware updates from the manufacturer
Make sure there are no associated spark plug fault codes.
Carry out a functional test of the glow plug system
If necessary, replace GPCM2
