Symptoms
- Check Engine light on
- The spark plugs of the second group of cylinders do not work
- Difficult cold starting at low temperatures
- Unstable operation during warm-up
- Error codes for cylinders of the second bank
Causes
- Broken wire in the ECU-GPCM2 communication line
- Oxidation or damage to the GPCM2 connector
- GPCM2 internal circuit malfunction
- No power or ground GPCM2
- Internal ECU fault (GPCM2 control port)
How to Fix
- Check for power and ground on GPCM2
- Check the integrity of the control line wire from the ECU to GPCM2
- Inspect the GPCM2 connector for corrosion and damage
- Make sure that the ECU receives a response from GPCM2 (check via scanner)
- If there is a break, restore or replace the control line wire
- If there is an internal fault in GPCM2, replace the module
