Symptoms
- Check Engine light on
- Loss of power at high speeds and acceleration
- The engine runs in "economy" mode without switching the cam profile
- Deterioration of dynamic acceleration characteristics
- Change in engine sound when accelerating
Causes
- Actuator C solenoid control circuit open wire
- Faulty solenoid (winding break)
- Damaged drive solenoid connector C
- Oil contamination that has clogged the drive channels (mechanical cause)
- ECU malfunction (extremely rare)
How to Fix
- Locate Bank 1 Camshaft B Actuator C Solenoid According to Engine Diagram
- Check the solenoid connector for damage and oxidation.
- Measure the resistance of the solenoid winding (usually 6-14 Ohms) - replace if broken
- Check the ECU control signal at the connector while the engine is running.
- Make sure that the pressure and quality of the engine oil are normal
- Replace the solenoid or repair the broken wiring, reset the codes
