Symptoms

• Check Engine light on
• Blinds do not respond to control commands
• Blinds are fixed in one position
• Possible overheating or poor performance
• Lack of load current in the control circuit during diagnostics

Causes

• Broken wire in the actuator control circuit harness
• Oxidized connector with broken contact
• Damage to the connector (broken terminal, dropped contact)
• Internal break in the winding of the blinds actuator
• ECU output driver malfunction

How to Fix

1. Read codes and record the conditions under which the error occurred
2. Inspect the control circuit wiring from the ECU to the actuator for damage.
3. Measure the resistance of the actuator winding (disconnect the connector, measure between the terminals)
4. Check connectors for oxidation, broken terminals, or fallen contacts.
5. Check the output signal of the computer when the ignition is on (voltage on the control wire)
6. Repair the wiring or replace the actuator based on diagnostic results
