Symptoms

• Check Engine Light Illuminated
• Increased fuel consumption
• Unstable engine operation at idle
• Reduced engine power
• Incorrect operation of the fuel control system
• Possible problems with passing environmental control

Causes

• Incorrect installation of oxygen sensors after repair
• Confused sensor connectors when connecting
• Error when replacing oxygen sensors
• Unqualified tampering with sensor wiring
• Factory defects during car assembly (extremely rare)

How to Fix

1. Connect the diagnostic scanner and read the error codes
2. Determine the location of the downstream oxygen sensors on each row
3. Check the sensor connection diagram according to the technical documentation
4. Disconnect both downstream oxygen sensor connectors
5. Swap the sensor connectors or the sensors themselves
6. Make sure the connection is correct according to the markings
7. Clear error codes using a scanner
8. Start the engine and take a test drive
9. Rescan the system to confirm that the error has been resolved
