Symptoms

• Check Engine light is on
• Blinds do not open or close completely
• Limited range of movement of the blinds
• The code may appear after removing/replacing the bumper or grille
• Reduced efficiency of the airflow control system

Causes

• Mechanical limitation of the travel of the blinds (foreign objects, deformation)
• Position sensor is misaligned or incorrectly installed
• Worn or damaged end stops in the blind mechanism
• Requires calibration after replacing components
• Malfunction of the position sensor itself

How to Fix

1. Read error codes and view live blind position sensor data
2. Inspect the blinds and make sure that the plates move freely over the entire range
3. Check that the position sensor is installed correctly and is securely fastened
4. Perform the calibration/initialization procedure for blinds via a diagnostic scanner (if provided)
5. Check sensor values in extreme positions (open/closed) and compare with specification
6. Remove mechanical obstructions or replace damaged components
7. Reset codes and check system operating range
