Symptoms

• Check Engine light is on
• Blinds are not controlled and are locked in a safe position
• Possible smell of burnt insulation if there is a strong short circuit
• Decreased fuel efficiency
• In severe cases, additional electrical errors are possible

Causes

• Short circuit of the actuator control wire to power (+12 V)
• Internal short circuit in the motor winding of the blinds actuator
• Damage to the insulation of control wires with melting
• Control circuit overload due to mechanical shutter blocking
• Malfunction of the ECU output stage (rare)

How to Fix

1. Read error codes and immediately check for signs of overheating or burning wiring
2. Inspect the control wiring of the blinds actuator for melting or pinching
3. Measure the voltage in the control circuit with the ignition on - compare with the permissible range
4. Disconnect the actuator and check the voltage at the connector - if it is high, there is a fault in the wiring or the computer
5. Measure the resistance of the actuator windings - determine the presence of an internal short circuit
6. Eliminate short circuit in the wiring or replace the actuator if it is faulty
7. Reset codes and check the control circuit voltage is normal
