Symptoms

- Unstable operation or complete failure of GPCM2
- Difficult cold start
- Uneven heating of spark plugs during startup
- Weak battery or charging problems
Causes
- Low or faulty battery
- Faulty generator voltage regulator
- Poor contact in the GPCM2 power circuit
- GPCM2 Circuit Fuse High Resistance
- GPCM2 ground fault
How to Fix
- Check battery voltage and perform load test
- Check the voltage at the GPCM2 terminals with the ignition on and when starting the engine.
- Measure the generator voltage with the engine running (normal 13.8–14.4 V)
- Check the reliability and cleanliness of the power and ground terminals of GPCM2
- Check the GPCM2 power supply fuse
- Eliminate the identified cause of unstable power supply
