P0662

Symptoms

• Check Engine light comes on
• Intake manifold valve is constantly activated
• Reduction in torque or power depending on valve position
• The engine performs worse in one of the speed ranges
• Increased fuel consumption

Causes

• Short circuit of the solenoid control wire to the power wire (+12 V)
• Damage to the insulation of the wiring harness (contact with the positive wire)
• Solenoid malfunction (internal short circuit to power - extremely rare)
• Incorrect connection after repair
• ECU output stage malfunction

How to Fix

1. Check the voltage at the solenoid control contact with the ignition off (there should be no power)
2. Check the control wire for a short to positive when the connector is disconnected
3. Inspect the wiring harness for insulation damage
4. If the wiring is correct, check the ECU output stage
5. Restore insulation or replace damaged wire
