Symptoms

• Check Engine light on
• Glow plug for cylinder 11 does not work
• Difficult cold start of a diesel engine
• The pre-heating lamp lights up abnormally
• White smoke from exhaust pipe when starting

Causes

• Broken power wire for glow plug cylinder 11
• Break in the heating element of the candle
• Closing the control circuit with supply voltage
• Internal malfunction of the module power switch
• Oxidation of connector contacts

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the power wire of the glow plug of cylinder 11
2. Measure the resistance of the spark plug - if the value is infinite (break), replace the spark plug
3. Check the spark plug connector for oxidation and reliable contact.
4. Check the continuity of the circuit from the module to the spark plug
5. Make sure that there is no short circuit between the spark plug power wire and other circuits.
6. If the wiring is correct, diagnose the spark plug control module
